Two blinks, repeated
Watch the OFF light on a ZDIS150 undercounter unit: two blinks, a pause, two blinks again. Monogram’s technical service guide reads that pattern as a bin thermistor failure.
Trigger and timing
Listed cause: an open or disconnected bin thermistor, or trouble in its wiring.
A failing thermistor can set off the blinking whenever the machine is in ordinary use.
Monitoring of the bin thermistor is constant during Flush Mode, again when each Freeze Mode ends, throughout the Harvest Modes, and while idle.
Technician checklist
These items are written for service work and are not an owner procedure.
Verify the plug connection between the bin thermistor and the control box.
Test the part: if it reads open or shorted, it gets replaced.
Inspect the wiring harness along with the thermistor, or plug them back in.
Service Test Mode reports an open bin thermistor as 2 blinks as well, and a shorted one as 4 blinks.
Models
ZDIS150WSS, ZDIS150WBB and ZDIS150WWW, an older Monogram series.
Related
OFF light, 3 blinks involves the evaporator thermistor and a harvest failure.
Model compatibility: Monogram reuses codes across series and model years, so OFF light flashes 2 blinks may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
Two OFF-light blinks indicate a bin thermistor failure: the thermistor is open or disconnected, or there is a wiring fault.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
