An ice maker usually tells you what it needs through a light before it stops completely, so those lights are worth writing down.
Monogram ice makers range from compact undercounter units to wide stainless models, and they are one of the few appliances that works on water, cold and a drain at once. That makes them sensitive to supply problems and to scale. Here is the lineup, the verified light meanings and the checks that are safe for owners.
We do not list production rates or bin sizes. Your label and manual are the source for those.
Look inside the cabinet on a side wall, near the bin or under the top edge. A panel-ready unit may need the door fully open. Photograph it for us.
These four have pages of their own.
Count the blinks twice and write down what you see before touching the power.
Low output can come from a closed or partly blocked water supply, a filter that needs changing, scale on the evaporator or a warm room. See low ice production.
Poor water flow or mineral build-up changes the shape of the ice. Small hollow cubes explains the likely causes.
A leak can come from a kinked supply line, a clogged drain or a bin that is out of level. Switch it off and dry the area.
Cracking and dropping sounds are normal. A grinding or a continuous buzz is not.
Do not open the cabinet back or pour cleaner into the water line.
Ice machines turn the water in your supply into a solid, and whatever is dissolved in that water stays behind as a film. In many Bay Area homes that means mineral scale builds on the cold surfaces over time, and the machine responds by warning you with the CLEAN light before it loses output. Treat the yellow light as your cue to arrange cleaning on a convenient day instead of waiting.
A filter on the supply line helps, but only when it is changed on time. A clogged filter restricts flow, and a machine that is starved of water can produce thin or hollow cubes, which are often mistaken for a failing compressor. If the ice tastes off, look at the filter, the bin and the supply line before you blame the machine.
An undercounter ice maker drains by gravity or a small pump, and both can be fooled. A drain line that sags, a bin that tilts or a floor that is not level lets melt water sit and creates smells. If the cabinet was adjusted after a countertop change, a quick check that it still sits level is worthwhile. Describe what you find when you ask for a visit.
Note which light is on and how often it blinks, when the problem started, whether the bin is full or empty, and whether the water valve was recently touched. Those few facts shorten the diagnosis a great deal.

The control senses that the ice maker will soon need cleaning. Plan the cleaning before it turns red.
Cleaning is overdue, and ice production decreases significantly or stops.
That is the verified sign of a bin thermistor fault, such as an open or disconnected sensor or a wiring issue.
No. Three blinks indicate a harvest failure, where the evaporator thermistor did not reach its target in time.
The UNC prefix marks nugget models. We list UNC15NPWII and UNC15NJII.
